We want the process to feel simple and clear. Here's what to expect from the moment you submit your application to your first session.
MD, DO, or advanced medical student who has recently passed USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, or relevant shelf exams with strong scores.
You can explain complex material clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and are genuinely invested in student outcomes — not just as a tutor, but as a mentor.
You show up prepared, respond promptly, and care deeply about medical education. Prior tutoring or mentoring experience preferred — we're looking for people who go beyond teaching content and invest in the whole student.
All sessions are conducted virtually. Tutor from anywhere, on your schedule.
You control your calendar. Students book within windows you set — no surprises.
Matching, scheduling, payments, and policies — all handled by our team so you can focus on teaching.
No minimum hours to start. Tutor as much or as little as your schedule allows. We just ask that you show up prepared and on time.
We expect reliability, open communication, and confidentiality. In return, we protect your time, handle no-shows, and pay you competitively.
We pay our tutors competitively — well above standard tutoring rates. Full details are shared during the application process.
The application takes about 15 minutes. We review every application and follow up within 7 business days. Questions first? Email us at info@themedmentors.com.
